Muggsy the rescue dog

Muggsy was lucky to have a second chance with Molly and her family when they adopted her from a shelter.

We recently had the pleasure of meeting Molly, who at twelve-years-old is an animal lover. She rescued Muggsy, from the Animal Care and Control shelter in her home-town in the USA.

“I’m not sure how she got there, but I was looking at the website and found her. When I first saw her she was named Lorna and her fur was all messy.”

Molly’s family took Lorna – who became Muggsy – in and she had a fantastic life (and a decent hair cut from the look of these photos).

“She loved to play and snuggle with us but was protective of us and would bark at people and dogs."

Have you ever taken a chance on a rescue dog? That reminds me of one of my favourite YouTube videos of all time, made in an animal shelter complete with singing staff! (check it here).

And by the way if you’ve ever done anything nice for an animal – like adopting someone from a shelter – you may be eligible to enter our Shark Girl DVD Giveaway. Check out the details here.
